I am Katie Jamieson Gaines, the artist, designer, decorative painter and owner/operator of EITAK Design. I graduated from UCSD with a B.A. in the Visual Arts and have worked professionally as a graphic designer in the advertising/marketing, comic book and investment/finance industries. A self-taught graphic designer and decorative painter; hand-making greeting cards and painting murals started out as hobbies while working on projects for family and friends. I fell in love with the creative process and making beautiful things with PAPER and PAINT. Word of mouth referrals spread and I quit my “day job” to start EITAK and pursue my passion for art and design full time. With over ten years of professional graphic design and painting experience, plus a synergetic relationship with a talented network of interior designers, event coordinators, contractors, printers, web experts and industry professionals, EITAK’s offering of creative services is continually expanding.

Although I design invitations for clients all over the country and have traveled for painting projects, my studio is located in North County San Diego where I keep a happy home with my handsome & talented husband and our two cute & clever boys.
